Research Policy

1. Introduction

Quest International College places high importance in research and publications.

 

2. Purpose

Quest International College proposes to deliver a framework to research and teaching development with high level of academic integrity.

 

3. Scope

Quest International College aims to maintain the quality of research and support the research development.

 

4. Structures

4.1. Categories of Research

The college shall have following categories of research:

       a. Collaborative research

       b. Faculty and staff research

       c. Mini research

       d. Student thesis

The college shall publish two journals annually, which include research articles of the students, faculty, and other researchers.

The students shall submit Graduate Research Project (GRPs) , internship reports, and independent research based on the primary and secondary data.

 

4.2. Format and Language

The students shall follow the format provided by the University for their research papers. The language used by the students shall either be Nepali or English.

 

5. Authorship

5.1. Access of Data

The college shall provide all the information sources for the research eng students in the library (data, books, magazines, search papers, 'etc

5.2. Confidenciality

The students shall not share any data or information to the outsiders.

5.3. Copyright

The students shall contribute their own input in their research papers. The college encourages all the students to not copy but give credits or cite the author/ writer.

 

6. Research Management

6.1. Funding

The students or faculty shall receive funds from the college for their research. The college shall provide grants for faculty and staff for further studies.

The college shall support students and faculties to seek research grants from UGC, University, government, and other industries.

The college shall apply for a research grant independently or jointly in UGC, University, government, and other industries.

6.2. Supervision and Submission

The college shall allocate research supervisors for the research students. The research supervisors shall provide guidance to their respective students.

The students shall be updated with the deadline and shall fix the meetings with their supervisors on their own.

The research faculty shall monitor and evaluate each students' research outcome carefully.

6.3 Revision

The research paper shall be reviewed by the supervisors twice.

The first round shall be reviewed and given back to the students. The students shall revise it again then only they shall re-submit for the second round for revision.

6.4. Research Output

The college shall publish the journals/research papers if the students have met their criteria to publish in their year journal.

 

7. Reaearch Management Committee

The college shall form a Research Management Committee with detailed TOR to operationalize research policy and guidelines.

The college shall manage a separate room and dedicated human resource for the research management committee.
